Another Video Worth Sharing: The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13 (2017) UnBoxing And Initial Impressions.

Tonight we have another great little video review from Chris over at TechTablets. As usual it it full of some really helpful and as always nitpicky info! [Don’t get me wrong here, I like the nitpicky stuff, because there are folks who worry about such minor details].

So this video is on the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13 (2017) version and it is basically like last years, a 13.3 inch, glass laminated notebook with an improved i5 Intel CPU and improved graphics.

It appears that storage options have been upgraded and there is even an empty slot to a a SATA 3 SSD in addition to the installed one!

So let us get to the video right now!

You can find this item here, although with Chinese Win 10.

I believe that will cover it for this evening,

Tim

Today’s Video Worth Sharing: Speeding Up Read Write Speeds on a Jumper EzBook 3 Pro.

Jumper EZBOOK 3 PRO

This is just a short lesson in how to speed up the slow eMMC read/write speeds on the Jumper EZBook 3  Pro which I posted about a short time back.

This one comes to us from Chris over at TechTablets and as usual when messing around in the BIOS, be very careful which settings you change!

So lets get to the video!

This laptop is currently priced at $280 on Gearbest

That will be all for right now,

Tim.

My Suggestions For Back To School PC Devices For 2017

We Test so you don’t have to!

We are about a month or so from back to school time and off to college time so these are my suggestions for great economical PC’s with Windows 10 or in 2 cases a Dual Boot Windows and Android. Remember most of these devices will be coming from China, so now is the time to order.

Now remember to choose your devices based on need and not  price or prettiness. Sure you can’t go wrong with a Samsung or Apple but you will probably spend far more than you should.

So let us get right to the list:

  • Number 1 on my list would be the Chuwi LapBook 12.3 with a whole slew of features. It has 6 gb of ram, it has a fantastic hi-res display and decent speakers and lots of ports. You can find the details and a great price on it at this link…right here. It is currently priced at $299 with coupon code Chuwi123. You can find the video review on this one right here.
  • Chuwi Hi12 with a K480 keyboard

Next on the list is the Chuwi Hi12. This server is running on it right now and it has a great display (2160 x 1440)  and amazing battery life. Yes you may want to get a keyboard for it, but I would go with a Bluetooth keyboard and a case/stand., which is what I use.  You can find it right here for under $240. Yes it is a dual boot!

  • Third on the list is the absolutely super Chuwi HiBook Pro. Now I normally run this site on the original HiBook which is great but the Pro model gets you the incredible  super hi- res 2560 x 1600 display and a Z8350 Intel processor. This is possibly the best 10.1 inch tablet you will find with the specs it has which like the Hi12 include 4 gb ram and the ability to use it with an attached keyboard or Bluetooth (smarter), and a dual boot system. The best price I know of is right here.
  • Jumper EZBOOK 3 PRO

One more device here and that is the Jumper EzBook Pro 3 which gives us an Intel Apollo Lake N3450 Quad Core  CPU and a 1920 x 1080 display. It also can be easily upgraded with an SSD to expand storage. Check the post I wrote last month for the video on how this is done. This one is currently selling for $280 on Gearbest.

  • As always I would also suggest checking out Refurbees.com as they carry quite a few decent/fast/low cost laptops!

Incidentally this post was written in the Chuwi HiBook using the Logitech K480 keyboard and yes it is getting a day off road trip!

The HiBook on a Road Trip!

That appears to be all I have for now, but keep tabs on us, we here at HiBook Labs never quit searching for cool stuff!

This Evening’s Video Worth Sharing: UnBoxing And Initial Impressions of The Samsung Notebook 9 Pro

This video covers the 15 inch version and is primarily just initial impressions, but it will give you the specs and some great info. This one comes to us from Andrew over at AMDTechReviews and is his usual great work.

As always, if you are into the latest tech, you really should subscribe to his YouTube channel. Or you can keep coming here to see which ones I find most interesting, your choice.

This is a fairly high end convertible laptop/notebook, but has some really good features and most importantly has a lot of ports, something that many supposedly great (did I say Macbook?), do not have. In other words it is a useful notebook, not just a pretty pile of dog poo.

Okay, so let us get to the video right now…

That is all I have for now,

Tim
