Originally posted 2017-05-18 08:33:08.

Today’s video worth sharing comes to us from Chris over at techtablets.com. This one is on the Jumper Ezbook 3 Pro. A 13.3 inch notebook/laptop with an Apollo Lake CPU and excellent build quality.

So without further into here is the video.

I also recommend watching his un-boxing video as it shows you where the M2 SATA SSD drive connects.

That is all for now,

Today’s Video Worth Sharing: Jumper EZBook 3 Pro, Thermal Mod and Tweaks

Jumper EZBOOK 3 PRO

Today’s video concerns doing a thermal mod on the Jumper EZBook 3 Pro. This is primarily for those who want to use it for some gaming and can help knock about 25C off the high end temps.

This one comes to us from Chris over at TechTablets and also covers some performance tweaks and a brief tutorial on adding an SSD and cloning Windows onto the SSD.

The EZBook 3 Pro is a super nice machine currently available at a very reasonable price of $229.

Below is the video, so enjoy!

Today’s Video Worth Sharing: Jumper EZBook 3 Pro, Revision 4

Jumper EZBOOK 3 PRO

The Jumper EZBook Pro 3 has been at the top of my list for the last few weeks and now it just got better! This short video comes to us from Chris over at TechTablets and covers what the latest revision updates include like an easy access door for the SSD and including some BIOS tweaks.

I will not bore you with the specs since I have already written a post with all those and the video reviews in it. You can find that right here.

Now let us get to the video straight away…

This tablet is available at this link.

The HiBook News: This Edition, Still Searching For The Perfect Notebook

As folks may have noticed I am really looking into getting another notebook. I have covered quite a few of them on here in recent posts and videos. However I am sort of beginning to  narrow my list down.

Price is of course a big concern, but so is RAM and a decent display. I am currently leaning towards a 13.3 or 14.1 inch notebook and my minimums are not all that restrictive since quite a few have made my “A” list.

My minimum specs are as follows:

  • 13.3 inch or larger Full HD 1080p display
  • An Intel Celeron N3450 processor
  • 6 GB RAM
  • SSD storage availability is a must
  • Good battery life is a must
  • Dual Band Wireless 802.11b/g/n/ac
  • Plenty of ports for a mouse/microSD and HDMI out

Those specs have eliminated a few devices from my list already such as the Chuwi LapBook 12.3. There simply is no point in getting a 12.3 inch notebook when the Hi12 is a mere 3 tenths of an inch smaller and has a great display and works well as a notebook when used with my Logitech K480 Bluetooth keyboard.

I have also eliminated the Chuwi SurBook 2 in 1 device because it isn’t any bigger than the LapBook 12.3 and is does not have SSD expansion capabilities.

That of course has me down to the following notebooks:

Now by no means are the notebooks that I eliminated not good they are both  great, but for me they just don’t fit into what I need for work and they simply are not big enough to justify me spending the money on.

So that is the current list and where I am at right now, unless some kind soul would like to donate a small bundle of cash so I can get a few into my hands for serious testing. Or if folks actually clicked the ads and links here and bought a few of these items, that would help tremendously.

That is all I have for now. As usual this post was written on the Hi12 while the HiBook is the server today.

Today’s Video Worth Sharing: Chuwi LapBook 12.3 Versus The Jumper EzBook 3 Pro

This afternoon we have a great video comparison between the Jumper EZBook 3 Pro and the Chuwi Lapbook 12.3.

Suffice to say both of these have similar specs and I am not going to cover them because they will be covered in the video we have below from Chris over at Techtablets.

Both of these were mentioned in my Back to School Recommendations post about a week ago. They both have advantages and disadvantages. It all depends on what exactly is important to you.

So without any further input from me, watch and learn.

That is all for the moment,

Tim
