Just a Short Crappy Video Explaining the Difference Between the Asus Z580CA and the Inferior Z580C Zenpads

This will be a very short post, but, it has finally occurred to me that folks simply don’t read details when shopping online…

Watch the video below, learn and be happy. Then go here for details!

Incidentally, to speed things up I have reduced the price for one week, (June 10th-18th), only!

Why My Next Tablet Project Won’t Need a Keyboard: I Have a Logitech K480 Already!

IMG_20160608_195458One of the best investments I have ever made as far as computers and accessories are concerned, is the purchase last year of a LogiTech K480 Bluetooth keyboard. It works with every device I own and I have also tried it with an iPhone and a few other Android devices. It is quite the workhorse, extremely well built and although the slot on it is designed for 10 inch or less tablets, it still makes the thought of purchasing an add on keyboard, which are available for many of the new 10 inch plus tablets these day, a thought that simply isn’t a consideration.

You may notice when viewing the above image full size that the slot is also a handy holder for various cables/adapters, that I use occasionally. That small round knob on the left allows you to program up to 3 devices easily and quickly. Simply turn on your device’s Bluetooth, select the position you wish to program and hold down the programming button on the keyboard that corresponds to your type device for a few seconds. Those selections are either PC/Android or iphone-Apple.

Sure this keyboard doesn’t have a fancy hinge nor is it thin nor does it have a track-pad. But as long as I have a port to connect my wireless mouse to I have zero need of a track-pad and the bonus is using a single keyboard with a multitude of devices. If the device has Bluetooth, I will have keyboard access.

My next project will be a 10 inch Windows 10/Android dual boot, so that device will fit into that yellow slot should I be so inclined to use it that way. Or I will simply get a case with stand functionality built in.  Currently the item I am looking at seriously is the Chuwi Hibook, but that decision will be made after I sell my 8 inch Asus Z580CA, which has been slow to sell, probably due to the high end specs and higher price than folks in my area want to spend on a tablet.

Suffice to say, once a new tablet arrives on the scene here, I shall be once again extolling the virtues of my LogiTab setup!

For the Folks Who Actually Visit the Site and Pay Attention, You Might See Some ZenPad Ads!

Hi Folks, please read before reaching your conclusions!
Hi Folks, please read before reaching your conclusions!

Once again I am asking folks in my area to consider the super duper Asus Z580CA I have for sale and am currently selling on Craigslist and elsewhere for a ridiculously stupid low price.

For those who don’t get it, I shall explain once more using small words wherever possible, this is not the 2gb RAM/32gb storage model! This is the 4gb Ram/64gb storage model, with a 2.3 gHz CPU!

Of course you are welcome to head on over to Amazon and hand them $279 for this! I actually do not care, but if you would like to get this super fast tablet, which incidentally is THE web server I am writing this on, with a 4gb flash drive and a mouse and a USB C to standard USB adapter, with a case/stand also, then you should click on this link!

I am off all day on June 8th, so call me, or send me a text and I can deliver this thing within a few hrs. I’ll be awake for several hours tonight as I do website maintenance, so do not be afraid to call!

So It may Not Have Occurred to You, But Testing Tablets Tends to Cost Money!

How to get more money, so i can review and test more tech?
How to get more money, so i can review and test more tech?

So tonight’s post is concerning how I can increase my budget to be able to test out more Tablets. I would prefer to purchase them all myself, by the usual life cycle involves buying a tablet, testing it and selling it for a dirt cheap price, as I am now doing with the Asus Z580CA.

I hate to depend on adverts to make money, because unless I was getting a zillion hits per day this is just not a viable option. But folks let’s face it, running a server costs money, tablets cost money, as does any tech device I purchase and review.

I simply don’t make enough money to do a proper job of this without some outside funding. Bottom line here is I need to be able to eat every now and then.

Hence the reason for this post. I am not asking folks to donate anything, in fact you won’t see any links to a donation page on this site just yet. What I am looking for is suggestions to help with funding so that I can maintain this site and the other sites I run to help folks. All ideas are welcome!

Please send your ideas to: tpearcy@outlook.com . No spam please, it will just be deleted.

Followup: June 7th,2016, 2032 hrs – You will now notice a few new ads on the site from Amazon. They have an amazing affiliate program and if you are so inclined, clicking their ads, will make me a dollar or two if you purchase something!

No Idea why, but we received a lot of visitors on the tablet server site this afternoon!

1-visitorsMy thought is that it is because I am running on Winderz, but in reality the website is actually on Linux, so, perhaps we have a burst of popularity here, or as I am guessing we have an influx of bots/hackers today.

Of course since no one ever participates on this site, even though they do get author privileges, I am inclined to believe it is the Chinese/Russian commies trying to hack the server for god knows why!

However that being said, the server is actually running on my notebook today, just to see how long it will take to kill the battery.

Follow up: the Asus X553SA ran for roughly 4 hrs and 20 minutes before the auto shutdown killed it. Which is why I like running a server on a tablet where I can get more than twice the battery life!
