Today’s Video Worth Sharing: A Couple of Great Android Apps And Bonus Coverage?

Today I cover a couple of free Apps for android that will make your life a bit easier! I also cover what the whole “Bonus Coverage deal is. To put the Bonus Coverage in a nutshell, it simply means I found out further info AFTER doing a video and did not want to clutter up the channel here or have to do an update which would of course screw up any links/shares to the last video!

All links mentioned in the video are listed below below:
The tabletserver.com link I spoke of in the video: http://tabletserver.com/wordpress/?p=7311

Obviously today, if you went to the channel on YouTube has zero bonus coverage so hence no link to the specific page.

So that is all we have for today’s first video.

That video of course is listed below!

That is all for now, except please subscribe to our channel or click those big donation buttons on the website here!

This Morning’s Video Worth Sharing: P20 Knockoff Final Conclusions -Too Many Less Than Stellar Specs!

This video covers my final conclusions on this device. To put it mildly, it has far too many downsides especially considering a new smartphone user trying to deal with it.

All links mentioned in the video are listed below below:
Mike Reed’s Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCr8q0k8jNqI9NqllOYOPUPA
Previous Video: https://youtu.be/jllqpseExG4
Umidigi A3: https://youtu.be/B1tQWMV3KR4

All the specs listed on the sales site were lies. Yeah, pulling no punches, check the previous video for all the info.

The battery is dismal, although with a proper charger it charges quite fast, which considering the anemic size makes sense. ( No, I have not determined the actual battery specs).

The screen resolution is is nowhere near up to the specs, the processor stinks and the RAM is simply 3 GB less than promised.

There is simply no way to determine if this is a GSM phone and the manufacturer is unknown. Although if one checks the imei numbers, it comes back as a Samsung Galaxy S7….yeah, not even close!

Do Not buy this phone unless you know something I do not!

Okay enough typing, time for the video!

Below you will find the exclusive bonus coverage video!

Today’s Video Worth Sharing: P20 Knockoff Smartphone Hardware Info

So late last even I finished up a follow up video on the P20 knockoff phone. It actually works quite well and has a few drawbacks.

First and foremost on my list of things to test was what type of actual specs does this thing really have?

All links mentioned in the video are listed below below:
Where to buy: https://www.wish.com/search/p20%20smartphone
Previous Video: https://youtu.be/jllqpseExG4
Umidigi A3: https://youtu.be/B1tQWMV3KR4

As expected the phone failed to meet most of the sellers promises. Storage is incredibly restricted, the display resolution is nowhere near even 2015 standards and the operating system certainly isn’t  Android 8.1. The RAM is also only 1 GB.

I would still recommend the UmiDigi A3 as an entry level phone with much better specs. It is on sale currently at Gearbest for only $75.

So watch the video for all the details and give it a Thumbs up and subscribe.

This Morning’s Video Worth Sharing: Unboxing The P20 Knockoff Phone! Initial Impressions

As promised a few days back…okay perhaps a week, tonight we have the unboxing of the “Mystery Phone”. This device was sent to me by subscriber Mike Reed whose channel link will be in the links below. So technically speaking this is a secondary unboxing.

Bottom line here is that this smartphone will get thoroughly tested and I will tell you if these P20 knockoff’s are worth your time. Make sure to visit my web site for more thoughts and details.

All links mentioned in the video are listed below:
Mike Reed’s Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCr8q0k8jNqI9NqllOYOPUPA
Where to buy: https://www.wish.com/search/p20%20smartphone

What I found so far, the short list:

  • The phone only reports about having maybe 16 GB Storage
  • The Display is very good but a mere  480 x 960
  • The battery charges faster than I thought it would
  • The CPU is only a Quad-Core
  • Have yet to verify this is Android 8.1
  • The Ram is reported as 1 GB

So far I have done all my checking using AIDA64 and CPU-Z.  Any other Apps out there to seriously probe a device? Leave a comment on our YouTube channel!

That about covers it for now, as usual, visit our channel here and make to to Like the video and subscribe!

Tonight’s Video Worth Sharing: Openshot Handbrake h264 Versus h265

This video is a sort of follow up to my previous video where I was playing around shooting in 1080p and then compressing a rather huge file down to a much more manageable size. This one covers Openshot and Handbrake as I compare a very short video clip encoded with first h.264 and then h.265. I apologize for the overlapping audio when I was comparing the 2 versions near the end.

This video after editing was 442 MB in size. That makes for a long upload, so I used Handbrake and reduced it to a mere 34.2 MB with no loss of quality at all!

Handbrake is a free Open Source encoder that can reduce video files by as much as 10 times smaller! It is available for  Mac, Windows and Linux.

So let us get right to that video and make sure to visit the channel and like, share and subscribe!
