Another Video Worth Sharing: Xiaomi Mi A2, A Solid Budget Device With Only One Issue

The Xiaomi Mi A2 is a very decent phone that is currently just a bit up there in price but if you want stock android (AndroidOne) and like that experience this might be the budget phone for you. It has some limitations such as not having microSD expansion, but if you can live with the 64 GB version the price is still quite reasonable and it does cover all the USA bands on GSM.

This Morning’s Video Worth Sharing: Will The Anki Vector Be The Best Selling Tech Product This XMAS?

I never thought we might have a post/video like this, but this product might well be the runaway tech gadget/toy of this year! Thje Anki Vector has had numerous adverts on YouTube for a few days now and it is also now in the hands of at least 3 heavy hitter tech Tubers and it really sems to be a worthwhile device!

It is currently on Amazon at $249 and will easily entertain and be very useful to both adults and children alike! I would love to have enough spare cash to grab one of these, if for no other reason than curiosity!

Below are the links to all products/videos mentioned in the video.

Tonight’s Video Worth Sharing: New Hardware Received From Amazon and It Works Great!

The other day I put up a video about needing some new infrastructure hardware here to replace stuff that was just worn out. I ordered those items late Monday evening and had them from Amazon by noon today!.

I did a short unboxing and hands on and there are some serious things you may not realize about the video that will be posted below.

I shot everything on the the old BLU Studio Energy 2 as usual, but…. the initial segment ended up being taken in portrait mode, so I proceeded to play around in Openshot during the editing process and quite by accident I got the cool rotation as the first segment began.

Bottom line here is that if you need a very good USB keyboard and a decent wired USB mouse you can not go wrong with this item from Amazon.  You can find it here for only $9.99 currently for both items!

Below is the video and as usual please like it, share it, subscribe, etc!

Today’s Video Worth Sharing: Gooseneck Mount Work Around – If It Was a Snake It Would Have Bit Me!

The other day I received my desk edge mounted gooseneck mouse  accessory. I did a video, posted an article here and the only open question was how to mount the smartphone with the holder being vertical and the phone being horizontal.

I did mention I was going to need to shim it somehow. While my current phone has a center positioned camera, future phones will more than likely have them to the left or right.

So I was still searching about for a good solid shim device and I spotted one from my seat here in front of the PC.

I realized that my tablet charger for either my Chuwi HiBook or Hi12 was just the right width!

So without further explanation, below you will find the video.

Today’s Video Worth Sharing: PocoPhone F1, Killer Flagship Specs, $300 Price Tag

There is a new budget smartphone coming out and it is going to catch the flagship phone mfgs by surprise. This one comes from Xiaomi from a division called Poco. The device is the PocoPhone F1 and the price is a mere $300. I know, $300 is getting into mid-range territory but this is no ordinary budget device.

Let us check those specs:

  • Android 8.1
  • 6.18 inch, IPS FHD display
  • dual rear cameras, 12 mp/5 mp
  • front 20 mp selfie shooter
  • WiFi b/g/n/ac
  • VoLTE, 4G, 4G LTE
  • 64 GB onboard storage
  • microSD up to 256 GB
  • Dual Sim
  • Fingerprint/Face Unlock
  • once more, did I mention $300 US?
  • liquid cooling
  • Processor, yeah, Snapdragon 845 bleeding edge flagship processor!

This phone will be great for gamers! Can you say “winner, winner, chicken dinner”?  This device will be released in India first and this puts the folks there in a  position to get flagship specs without the standard obscene pricing of Samsung, Huawei and Apple. Hell, it beats the OnePlus 6 by $200!

So I did a little video on my thoughts about this device this morning and within an hour there were some “heavy hitter” YouTubers unboxing the Global version and doing short hands on videos! It was rather amusing to see the folks who have usually extolled the virtues of the over-priced flagships gush with praise for this budget phone!

So check out the video below with my thoughts on this device and you can get all the relevant links if you view it on YouTube and check the links in the description.
