Tonight’s Video Worth Sharing: Xiaomi Mi A2 Gets Added To My List Of Budget Phones for 2018!

After watching a number of reviews today on the Xiaomi Mi A2 I am revising my previous thoughts on not recommending it as a best budget device for 2018. My primary objection was the lack of microSD storage expansion, but upon looking at a few reviews and confirming that this device does have EIS in 1080p and because there are lots of far more expensive phones out there with 64 GB storage I am revising this and adding to my list of best budget phones for 2018.

The price has also dropped quite a bit, especially on the Gold version on Gearbest which today is showing only $209.

So check the links below to find out where to buy this phone either from China or from Amazon for about $15 more but of course much faster delivery to the USA.

Another Video Worth Sharing: Xiaomi Mi A2, A Solid Budget Device With Only One Issue

The Xiaomi Mi A2 is a very decent phone that is currently just a bit up there in price but if you want stock android (AndroidOne) and like that experience this might be the budget phone for you. It has some limitations such as not having microSD expansion, but if you can live with the 64 GB version the price is still quite reasonable and it does cover all the USA bands on GSM.

Today’s Video Worth Sharing: Top 4 Budget Phones? Perhaps If You Help Us Find a FULL Honor 8X Review!!

This video is all about asking for help to find a full review of of the Honor 8X smartphone. We already know the specs and they look great! The price seems to be reasonable, but we are searching for a thorough review from a North American reviewer so I can perhaps add this to my list of recommended budget smartphones for 2018.

The Honor 8X looks great on paper and I have posted up a video already of one hands on review from Ben over at ben’s gadget reviews. But his was not a full on nit-picky, every detail review.

I have found several others out there but from sources that appear to be more hype than truth. Sure the product will eventually get released on Amazon here in the USA, but by then, it may be too late to provide all the detailed info in advance.

So check out the video below and leave a comment if you know where to find a good honest full detailed review. Leave those comments on YOUTube, not here! I am asking for links and if you include a hyperlink on this site it is auto-deleted by the security software, sorry but blame the spammers for this policy.

Tonight’s Video Worth Sharing: Will The Honor 8X Be The Latest Killer Budget Phone?

As you know, we here at this site concentrate on stuff that will get the job done. So tonight I ran across another phone that I may or may not add to my list off great budget smartphones.

The Honor 8X is a large screen, full HD display device with excellent cameras that comes to us from China via their parent company Huawei, who are known for great devices.

So far we do not have much info other than 2 unboxings and the phone appears to be available already to the mid-east, which seems strange, but it is what their site indicates.

However with a Canadian and an Englishman being provided with test/unbox units we can expect that it will be headed our way shortly.

So let us get right to that video and please make sure to Like and subscribe…

Today’s Video Worth Sharing: Budget Phone Overload

Today I did a video on a subject that was also covered by Ben over at ben’s gadget reviews a few days ago. We have both reached similar conclusions on the fact that the Chinese smartphone companies are releasing new phones at far too high a rate.

This creates a market that has a brand  having 3-4 smartphones all with similar specs at nearly the same price and very few reviewers who are willing to do all these budget phone reviews.

This becomes exceedingly confusing for folks trying to find the perfect phone in their budget range. Sometimes you will find the perfect phone and wait a fews before ordering, only to find out there are 3 more similar phones from the likes of Nubia, Meizu, Doogee, Xiaomi, etc.

The “flagship” phones are an easier group to keep track of, because there are simply only a few models in total out there and the Samsung, Apple, Huawei, LG top end stuff does not get updated more than once per year.

This is why I am only recommending 3 budget phones so far this year. I can’t possibly keep up, especially when I do all my stuff based on specs and research of hands on reviews.

So in the video below I actually make a recommendation about flagships and try to explain why the heavy hitter YouTubers tend to focus on the top of the line stuff. (Take a guess why? Yeah, money).

The video is long, but worth watching, so let us get to it right now…
