This Afternoon’s Video Worth Sharing: Lenovo XiaoXin TB8804F, 8 Inch Android Tablet Review

This afternoon we have a review of the  Lenovo XiaoXin TB8804F tablet. This one comes to us from Chris over at TechTablets and is quite positive.

This device has an 8 inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 with 64 GB of onboard storage. Along with 4 GB Ram, a microSD card slot and decent audio, this one is quite the desirable tablet.

The operating system is Android 7.1.1 so it is reasonably up to date. However do not expect any updates soon, since this doesn’t seem to be a priority according to the video.

The price is a bit steep, but premium devices, from big brands always cost more.

So let us get right to the video and make sure to subscribe to this channel  to keep up on the latest tech with honest reviews.

This device is currently available at Gearbest for about $249.

That is all for now,

Tim

Today’s Video Worth Sharing: Lenovo P8, 8 Inch Tablet

Today’s video worth sharing is on the Lenovo P8 Android Tablet. This device has a nice sharp 1920 x 1200 display and some decent cameras along with a microSD card slot and 16 GB onboard storage.

Surprisingly, there are  a lot of nice features on this tablet considering the budget price!

The specs are as follows:

  • OS: Android 6.0
  • CPU: Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 (MSM8953)
  • Core: 2.0GHz,Octa Core
  • GPU: Adreno 506
  • RAM: 3GB
  • microSD up to 64 GB
  • WIFI: 802.11 b/g/n/ac
  • GPS: Yes
  • Bluetooth: 4.0

This is a super nice low cost tablet suitable for some gaming and watching videos, etc.

The video today comes from Chris over at TechTablets and covers pretty much all the details.

So let us proceed with the video!

I know he mentioned a somewhat lower price, but that sale might be over, however Gearbest still has it for a very reasonable $165.

That is all I have for now,

Tim

Since I Have Yet to Sell My Asus Zenpad S 8.0 I Thought I Might as Well Use It to Report on Just How Good This Tablet Is!

Asus Z580CA Screenshot

So today I am using the Asus Z580CA along with my Logitech K480 Bluetooth keyboard and a Logitech wireless mouse. Commonly known, if you have read my other posts on the subject as a “LogiTab”.

Today’s report is simply a review of this tablet and some thought’s on the competition. To put it mildly this tablet is screaming fast, this display is fantastic and there are never any lags due to a lack of memory.

Let’s review the specs on this tablet, they are rather impressive after all and there are few tablets in this price range than come close to these:

  • CPU – 2.3 gHhz Intel Quad core processor
  • Display – 2048 x 1536, 8 inch display, 320 dpi
  • On tablet storage – 64gb
  • RAM – 4gb
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • microSD slot – up to 128gb more storage
  • WiFi – a/b/g/n/ac
  • Cameras – Front 5mp, rear 8mp
  • Android 5.0 (yes, a bit old, but according to a chat I had with Asus this evening, there should be an upgrade shortly)
  • USB C port for charging/data transfer
  • DTS, dual speakers and great sound

This is truly a stellar device and the only complaint I have is battery life. I get at most, 6 hrs of heavy use before I am looking for a place to charge it.  When I use it as a web server the screen is off  and I can squeeze roughly 10 hrs out of it. On the other hand this tablet is very light, super thin and extremely well made.

All in all this is a tablet you should consider before jumping on the Samsung or Apple bandwagons. You simply won’t find these specs, especially the storage and ram on any tablet under $380 or so dollars, which is a full $100 more than this tablet costs on Amazon. If you can find a viable competitor with ALL the same/or better specs, I will knock $10 of the price of my Asus. In any case you could buy mine dirt cheap!
