Over a Month Now With The BLU Studio Energy 2 Phone and the Battery is still Great! (video)

Studio Energy 2
Studio Energy 2

Not too much to say here folks except that I can now snicker at the folks with those super thin and extremely expensive phones. To tell the truth I can’t even imagine why anyone would waste the money on those “flagship” phones. Sure there are a few cool features, but nothing you can’t do with a tablet. It’s a phone folks, first and foremost and it can do many chores you possibly need, but it is still a phone!

The BLU Studio Energy 2 does what it is supposed to do, has a brilliant bright  Super AMOLED display and the battery is still lasting forever.

It does not last as long as the first week or two that I owned it, but I have progressively begun to use it more and more because I finally am free of the boat anchor known as “charging”. It still works for at least 3 days of hard use.

So below is another short, pointless video, pointing out how great the battery life is.

The Asus Z580CA got itself a nice case today! (video)

Fintie Case for Z580CA
Fintie Case for Z580CA

A few days back I decided that my new 8 inch tablet could use a case for protection and also to make it a bit more difficult for me to accidentally touch the screen edge when in portrait usage.

I purchased a very nice Fintie case from Amazon for about 10 bucks and it is quite nice!

It puts the tablet to sleep when closed and wakes it when opened, no clue how that is accomplished, has easy access to the ports and buttons and a window for the rear facing camera. The build quality is great and so far it seems well worth the price!

Below you will find a few quick shots of the case with the Asus already in it.

I can now use the BLU Studio Energy 2 Smartphone to operate my Dragon Touch X10 (Video).

header_leftSo the BLU Studio Energy2 phone does almost everything well, with the exception of acting as a backup web server with KSWeb, but in this case it does a nice job of remote controlling my PC which I then connect to the Dragon Touch Tablet.

The extra step of controlling the PC first is necessary, because Chrome does not do Flash very well…

Below is a short video of me using my connection to the PC to control the Dragon Touch X10. The audio is horrible, as will happen in a public place with free WiFi, but you can get the point in about a minute and a half.

Linux Lite Running on My Asus X553SA Notebook. Works Very Well. Virtual Machines Can be Fun.

A little preface here, most posts on this site are about the Dragon Touch X10 but the real purpose of this site is to share information.

So tonight I decided to play with the Asus notebook again. I usually use my little Dragon Touch X10/Logitech keyboard, but I figured I might as well play about in Windows 10/Linux tonight…

There isn’t much to see in the video, but thought I would post it anyway. (Since the Asus refused to produce a via scen capture I did some screen capturing on the DTX10 and also edited here!)
