Tonight’s Video Worth Sharing: Openshot Handbrake h264 Versus h265

This video is a sort of follow up to my previous video where I was playing around shooting in 1080p and then compressing a rather huge file down to a much more manageable size. This one covers Openshot and Handbrake as I compare a very short video clip encoded with first h.264 and then h.265. I apologize for the overlapping audio when I was comparing the 2 versions near the end.

This video after editing was 442 MB in size. That makes for a long upload, so I used Handbrake and reduced it to a mere 34.2 MB with no loss of quality at all!

Handbrake is a free Open Source encoder that can reduce video files by as much as 10 times smaller! It is available for  Mac, Windows and Linux.

So let us get right to that video and make sure to visit the channel and like, share and subscribe!

Another Video Worth Sharing: 2018 Apple MacBook Air Unboxing & First Look Review

This one comes to us from Andrew over at AMDTech and covers his initial unboxing and First Look Review of the new 2018 MacBook Air.

This is a refresh of the MacBook Air and folks have been eagerly awaiting it and it isn’t a bad notebook. However it has the usual Apple formula, take away ports, remove some feature and then kick the price upstairs!

This one is powered by a dual-core i5 processor and runs fairly cool It isn’t upgradeable so make sure to order the version that will get you through the next few years.

As usual this is a super well produced video so make sure to visit Andrew’s channel on Youtube and subscribe if you like this type of content.

Now let us proceed at once to the video!

First Video Worth Sharing Today: 6 Amazing High End Cheap Tech Devices!

This video was primarily created for humor and to test out shooting in 1080p and see what the final MB size would be after processing and running through Handbrake. The original video as shot was about 822 MB before processing, raising the volume and tweaking.

Nothing was cut or edited out. After editing it ended up being much smaller and the last step involved going from H.264 to H.265 codec.

The last step resulted in a file of 103 MB, not a bad effort, although time consuming. The video file was reduced before upload from 217 MB to 103 MB using Handbrake: https://handbrake.fr/

So let us proceed at once to the video and learn something!

Let Us Review The Basics of This Fine Tablet… (The Dragon Touch X10)

Originally posted 2016-02-28 01:10:34.

61oSDuBYzgL._SL1000_It does everything well and it works great, with a few minor glitches on the version I have. So those are covered elsewhere in this blog, so moving on lets look at the list of the stuff it does very, very well!

  1. IMG_20160228_004951 The display is great, very bright and perfect for watching videos and movies!
  2. It has a full size standard USB port which allows me to use a cordless mouse, or any other USB device, including a flash drive!
  3. It cost less than 1/3 of the next least expensive tablet to setup and use with a nice LogiTech Keyboard (K480) and either a plugin or wireless mouse (both Logitech in my case, hence the nickname “LogiTab”.
  4. The battery life is outstanding.
  5. It can process an 8 minute video and add music to it in less than 2 min. (Using AndroPro Video App).
  6. Did I mention it has a built in screen capture recorder for video? Yeah, it does!
  7. This tablet can be a tablet like any normal tablet, but once combined with the K480 Bluetooth keyboard and the Logitech mouse, it becomes just as good as ANY overpriced 10 inch notebook, such as a MicroCrap Surface.
  8. Have I mentioned that you can also plug in a micro USB to full USB adapter and stuff works? Yeah, it’s that cool!
