OOPS! One wrong check box shuts down Virtual Machine for 16+ Hrs.

I have no clue how that box got checked.
I have no clue how that box got checked.

So yesterday and today were rather a pain when it came to my servers here. The power went down yesterday for about 4 hrs and that pretty much shut down my primary site for a good part of the afternoon and early evening. Then this morning the router decides to come unplugged from the wall.

Then I get to work only to find that my VM that the primary server runs on has no networking. Once I arrived home I discovered the issue causing the problem which was a check box clicked in the VM adapter settings. How this checkbox got a check in it is well beyond me, but it may have happened when Windows shutdown last night. I am so used to everything running along smoothly that I am not sure if I checked the VM after restarting it.

Of course the Tablet server here chugged along all day just fine, so not everything went to hell in the proverbial handcart.

How Easily can you move an Entire Web Site to a Different Tablet? It is Quite Easy: Video

Hi Folks, please read before reaching your conclusions!

So here we are again back on the Asus Z580CA as I write this, because not one cheap-ass redneck in Kentucky or Tennessee has made a decent offer to purchase it, but moving on…Since the whole idea here is to test other tablets for server viability, I am at an impasse as far as writing new an interesting stuff. Of course ANYONE can register on this site and post interesting stuff, but that simply isn’t happening.

Therefore tonight’s video on how easily I move the web site from one tablet to another (or in some cases over to the laptop/notebook.)

Watch, learn, duplicate, have fun.

It is Once Again the Weekend and Time for The Dragon Touch X10 Tablet Report.

IMG_20160703_123621So today I am once again writing this post via the Dragon Touch X10 Tablet using my Bluetooth keyboard (Logitech K480) and a  wireless mouse which if you have visited my site before you will recognize the name I refer to it as…”The LogiTab”.

The server is actually running on my Asus Z580CA tablet and appears to be working flawlessly as usual. Too bad no one has figured out what a good deal it is, since I am selling it for roughly $100 under retail.

Now back to the DTX10 tablet, which is still my favorite device! Sure my PC is a lot faster but that whole thing with the extension cord would suck, as for the notebook that I own, well, the DTX10 will run roughly 6 hrs longer before battery life expires.

So the bottom line is that the Dragon Touch tablet is still the best bang for the buck of any tablet out there! The screen is plenty bright and large enough for an old bastard like me to actually see.

This tablet is still a deal at Amazon or a mere $119, get yourself a keyboard and a mouse and you have a portable notebook for under $160!

So in closing I shall just remind everyone that fireworks can be dangerous. So before you burn your house to the ground or blow half your hand off, be safe this weekend and try to not be part of the evening news!

Happy July 4th America!

This is simply amazing! BLU Studio Energy2 is Currently Charging This Server!

BLU Studio Energy2
BLU Studio Energy2

Hello students, read and learn now…The BLU Studio Energy2 phone that I have been singing the praises of for months now has really impressed me today! You are probably thinking battery life gloating again?

That would be dead wrong. But how about charging up the server that this site is running on right now? I have plugged in the OTG cable provided with the phone and the plugged in my USB charging cable into that OTG adapter. The result? Uh, yes kiddies, we now are showing that the Asus Z580CA is charging via my smartphone! Can you iPhone/Samsung owners  do that? …      …     ….crickets…of course not!

So while my phone is a bit “fat” compared to the idiot crazy paper thin phones of these last few years, let’s face the facts, a big battery is worth every extra millimeter of thickness!

In Case You Didn’t Notice, This Website Has a New Header, (when running on my Asus)

1-Asus-Tabletserver-header
One of my better header images.

So “THE Tablet Server” now has this wonderful new header so it is absolutely clear which tablet you happen to be viewing the site from. Since the site constantly changes from the Asus to the Dragon Touch, and hopefully soon a Chuwi Hibook and even occasionally my Windows 10 Asus notebook, I thought it best to come out with an obvious header image that would alleviate confusion.

I would not have had to put this effort in had I sold the Asus Z580CA tablet already, but since there is an obvious lack of interest in the tablet I am going to use it to the fullest extent possible. Click here to buy it!

Obviously all my posts about how wondrous this thing is have been overshadowed by folks who simply want something for nothing and the latest and greatest Android installed.

I would love this tablet to be on Android 6.0 or later, but for now the damned thing screams as far as speed and apps  and games go, the battery is adequate for 90% of users of tablets and the display/processor are both stunning!

That is all,

Tim
