Did a Bit More Testing on The Zotac ZBox Today. Just Checking the SSD Speeds.

So as you may already know the new “primary server” for all my sites, with the exception of this one, is a Zotac CI323 Mini PC. This little and quiet Mini PC is replacing the old Dell Optiplex 745, which is quite a decent machine, but a large power hog with serious limitations due to its age.

Today’s test was concerning the read/write speeds on the SP 240 gb SSD drive. They appear to match what the mfg claims and are much faster than the Dell with it’s old school 1-TB drive.  Below for your perusal are the scores achieved in the CrsytalDiskMark test. Not earth shattering, but adequate for a PC being used as a server for sure.

Silicon Power 240 GB Drive Test

That pretty much covers that test. Keep in mind that a virtual machine was also running at the same time this test was done in Windows 10. I would recommend this SSD to anyone needing a solid, inexpensive drive for a PC or even a laptop.
